Frequently asked questions

Mainland or Free Zone company in Dubai?

It depends on the real activity. A brand selling to the public from a retail unit normally needs a Mainland licence, while services, consulting or e-commerce can operate from a Free Zone. We compare both options with costs, visas and activity-specific constraints before deciding.

How long does it take to open a business in Dubai?

Company formation usually takes a few weeks. The long part is real estate: sourcing the unit, negotiating the lease, approvals, design and fit-out. For retail or F&B, think in months rather than weeks, which the Market Entry timeline makes explicit from day one.

What budget should I plan for a Dubai market entry?

It depends on the format: a Free Zone desk is nothing like a mall unit. Beyond the licence, budget for rent, deposits and guarantees, agency and approval fees, fit-out and working capital. We size a full setup budget as part of Market Entry.

Does WAH! handle legal and tax work?

No. Legal, tax and regulated services are delivered by qualified professionals. WAH! owns the project, coordinates those experts and stays your single point of contact from first call to opening.

What is the WAH! Business Location Score?

It is our location scoring grid: footfall and customer profile, visibility, direct competition, total occupancy cost, technical constraints and lease terms. It lets you compare units objectively instead of deciding on instinct.
